FALLing in LOVE

Don't you just LOVE Fall? This Fall the weather has been great, and I love all this rain! It makes for lazy days and great sleep! Although, my sleep was terribly interrupted by the movie Paranormal Activity. Bone chilling SCARY! Ben and I went to see it this past Friday and we were scared out of our minds... and actually regretted seeing it... due to lack of sleep that night. I kept waking up and could not get some of the scenes out of my head, I was praying for morning and the sun to come up . Ben was having to pry me off of him because he was sweating so much due to me clinging on to him in the middle of the night. I talk about this movie and I get goosebumps. If any of you did not know this movie cost $11,000 to make and has raked in almost $67 million. Man, I wish I had come up with this script. Let me tell you, I am a lover of scary movies, but this one messed up my psyche.
On to more Fall activities, two weekends ago I went to one of my friends daughters 2nd birthday parties at Hall's Pumpkin Patch in Colleyville. What a great idea for a Fall birthday party! I loved it and can't wait to take Arrington there next year. We had delicious cupcakes, a hay ride that involved petting and feeding cows and donkeys and even saw a newborn calf (only 16 hours old). All the munchkins were dressed so cute in their fall wear (I can't wait)! While we were there I took some photos of the belly bump.

Birthday Girl in her Boo-ti-ful outfit

This past Friday night after Paranormal Activity, Ben and I carved pumpkins. We had such a great time and they turned out great, for the exception that Ben's carving has already dwindled away.

As you can see...Ben's on the left did not make it

Ben and I have also found a church that we truly enjoy, Church on Rush Creek. The pastor is wonderful and the music gives me goosebumps. Everything is so laid back and relaxing. This past Sundays sermon was amazing and I had to hold back tears a couple of times. There was a quote that I found to be quite true, "Sin will take you further than you want to go! Keep you longer than you want to stay and charge you more than you want to pay!"

Nesting

There has been some definite signs of nesting in the Hicks House. I randomly decided I wanted to bake (never baked on my own, but I cook dinner often) and made a pumpkin roll that HAD to be made Friday night. It turned out great and was delish! I have been cleaning out EVERY room in the house and getting rid of clutter and unnecessary items. Big garage sale here we come! For right now, all the garage sale items are taking up a whole spare bedroom, which is very sore to the eye...haha. We have for the main part, removed all of the furniture out of Arrington's room. We picked up Arrington's furniture a couple weeks ago and we have put everything together except for the crib. We figured we would wait on the crib in case we couldn't get it out of the door when we put in the flooring and painted, which we have not decided on yet. We have picked out Arrington's fabric for her bedding and I LOVE it! Very girly! I can't wait to get started on little missy's room! On another note, I am just LOVING Fall this season! I am loving the weather, the smell of fall candles, decorating for the upcoming holidays, and all the food that comes with the cooler weather :)!

22 Week Doctors Appointment and An Early 3D/4D Sonogram

Yesterday we had our 22 week appointment. Everything is going great in this little belly of mine! Our sweet baby girl is moving around like crazy. There was nothing too exciting about this appointment. I have my disgusting ( yes, I have been warned) glucose test in 4 weeks and also another sono to check out Arrington's weight and size. I can't wait to see how much she has grown. While we were there I talked to the nurse and Dr. Read about wanting to be 100% sure that Arrington was in fact a girl, since we have heard stories of a she arriving as a he. They told me to go ahead and do a 3D/4D, even though it was a little early. We were so excited to get to see our baby girl in 3D/4D! We made an appointment for 4:30 at Ultraview Imaging here in Arlington. The lady who runs the place actually used to work for Dr. Read. They forewarned us that she would be pretty small and skinny. They don't recommend getting the 3D/4D this early, since the babies facial features are not very distinct until 28-30 weeks. We just couldn't wait! I was completely amazed! Here Arrington was up on a big screen moving around! She was yawning, stretching her arms, pointing her little finger, and sitting with her legs crossed at the ankles... how sweet. We already love this sweet sweet baby girl so much, and are so blessed that she is healthy and perfect! We got a few pictures and a 10 minute DVD with Arrington in action!

She already has us wrapped around that little finger of hers :)

Peek-A-Boo! Look at those long skinny legs! Hmmm, I wonder who she gets those from

I'm definitely a Baby GIRL!
