7 Months

Here's a late, but better than never 7 month post. We have been so busy with packing and building our new house, more on that later, that it totally slipped my mind. Arrington turned 7 months on September 9th. She is truly such a joy to be around and one of the happiest babies I know! People actually stop me in places and ask if she is always this happy. She loves loves loves to make peoples/strangers day with a cute little smile as they pass her by. She amazes us everyday with all the new stuff she learns. Here's a quick update of Arrington at 7 months.
  • weighed in at 15 lbs. 7 oz.
  • Phe level at 162
  • quit breast feeding due to Mommy's lack of milk, and now a formula fed baby
  • found out she would be a BIG Sister... actually a few days shy of her 7 month birthday
  • can now pick up food and put it in her mouth to eat
  • rolls EVERYWHERE
  • loves to sit in highchairs and loves shopping carts
  • loves her babies and real babies too... she will scream at babies in restaurants or while out shopping to get their attention... it's actually pretty cute
  • size 2 diaper
  • size 3-6 month clothing
  • eats baby food 2x a day
  • a pro at sitting up and will reach or get on belly from sitting to grab something
  • had a short spell of waking up every morning at 4 or 5 to take a quick bottle then fall back asleep
  • blows razberries

Fun at the Park for Lolli's Birthday

For my Mom's birthday on Sunday, October 3rd we decided to head on over to my Grandparents for a day spent at the park and grilling out. My Nana and Papa's house backs up to a park, which has always made for fun times at their house while growing up. Now our kids will also get to experience all the fun that we had over at their house. The weather was beautiful, which made for a good day for a walk around the pond and visiting with the ducks, a little swing time, and of course a few trips down the slide! We later grilled out a delicious dinner of salmon and steaks. Happy Birthday Lolli!
Mommy's Heart
Her new FAVORITE snack! Basically she will only eat things she can feed herself, hers thinks she's all grown up ;)
All ready for the park

Easy Country Livin'

September 8th-11th the whole Hicks clan headed up to West Plains, Missouri to visit PawPaw and Marianna and family. Arrington had a lot of "first" on this trip. This was her first time to meet PawPaw and Marianna, first time to ride on a plane and get her wings, first real trip, and first time to see plenty of farm animals. We had such a great time visiting loved ones and enjoyed how relaxing it was to be out in the country. PawPaw and Marianna have plenty of cattle, which we fed, a horse, and a few beautiful longhorns. Thank you so much PawPaw and Marianna for your great hospitality and welcoming us all into your home!

3+1=4

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Jeremiah 1:5

We are beyond blessed to announce that Arrington is going to be a BIG SISTER and we will be adding to our family of three in late April!
Announcing that Arrington is a BIG SISTER
Mommy had to make this shirt, since no one carries a 3-6 month big sister shirt...hehe

We had our second sonogram today. The baby looks healthy and was kicking and moving it's arms all around. By the sonogram I am 11 wks and 2 days. Which means Arrington and our new little peanut will be a close 1 year and 10 weeks apart. We are going to be some busy little bee's but would not have it any other way, as this is what God had planned for us. Dr. Read says that even though I am not due till April 26, he will induce me no later than the 20th. The reason for this, is that since I progressed so quickly with Arrington he does not want me to have an "at home delivery" and not make it to the hospital. This Momma would not like that at all :)! We are so excited for the arrival of our little peanut, and could not feel more in love with this little baby. God has blessed us again with a new little life!
This little family of 3 soon to be 4 could not be any more happier!
