Baby Girls 1st Day of "School"

Arrington started MDO Thursday, September 15th. We absolutely LOVE the MDO program that she is attending every Tuesday and Thursday. There are only 4 other toddlers in her class, which means lots of one on one time, which we thought was very important since she is so young.
Everyday they have....
arts and crafts
circle time/music
snack time
P.E.
listen to a bible story
centers and skill building (this is usually their one on one time with the teacher)
and of course nap time!
Arrington has done wonderful! Her first day she did great with NO tears, since she really did not know what was going on. The next Tuesday she wasn't as happy about Daddy leaving her :(. Everyday after she got better and better. Now she absolutely LOVES going to school! Ben will now take her in and she immediately will either go to her teacher or start playing with her friends. She has one special friend whom she loves, an adorable little boy. Their teacher says that they are pretty much inseparable! So cute! Future Boyfriend!?! Her teacher says she is a hard core flirt... haha ;)
I'm so glad we started her in MDO! I'm pretty sure she was getting tired of staring at Mommy all day ;). She loves playing with her friends and I love how much she is learning. I sure do miss my little princess when she's away... but it's just for a few short hours ;)

Breakfast of Champions!
Fruity Cheerios!

She looks so wittle standing in front of our door

Sweet Angel Face... Love her so MUCH!

Grandpa & Inez

Grandpa and Inez came all the way from Missouri to see the girls, meet our sweet new Hicks' boys, and of course visit with the rest of the family! We had such a great time getting all the family together and visiting. The girls loved Grandpa, and how he would chase them around the backyard while they squealed in delight. And, our two little boys loved all the snuggles from the Great Grands!
We Love and Miss You!! Hugs and Kisses from Texas!

5 Months

Baby Boy is a growin'!

I'm a little late to this post, since Bennett's 5 months has long past us, September 20th. But better late than never ;)! It seems like we have been some busy, busy bees this past fall and I'm so behind on blogging. Bummer, but I am getting myself back into gear!

Bennett is such a happy little man to be around! He is ALWAYS smiling, which makes my day, and such a laid back chill baby! Our little chubbers is quite the ticklish boy! He squirms and giggles in delight with his raspy lil' voice. And you better pay attention to this boy, or he will yell and try, try, try to get your attention!

A few little tidbits on our 'man'

  • loves him some baby food! Eating once a day... a veggie, cereal, and fruit
  • Obsessed with his sippy cup! You can't take it our of his hands with out hearing a scream and some tears
  • loves tummy time
  • loves his 'car'
  • sitting all by himself! Big Boy!
  • officially wearing the same size diaper as sister! Size 3!
  • size 3-6 and 6 month clothing
  • Big Time Mommy's Boy!
  • has one sweet raspy little voice
  • Chunkers is not into sleeping through the night and wakes to eat... he was doing so for 2-3 months and has quit. Not fun!
  • loves his blankets and will rub his face with them to put him to sleep
  • still liking a binki, but doesn't have to have it
  • puts EVERYTHING in his mouth
  • getting some very blonde hair in
  • Loves to grab you by the face for some sweet, sweet baby kisses! I'm in love with this!
  • last by not least... MY favorite... he can not get enough of his Big Sister! He watches her all the time and gets the Biggest grin when she's near... and an even bigger grin when she pays attention to him! So Sweet!

 Sitting up all by himself!
Morning snuggles with Daddy and Mommy
Loving his new ride! Pretty sure he's practicing for when he will take Mommy out on a date ;)
 Loving his lil' loafers ;)
"I'm all ready for the course, Daddy!"

Bennett is one sweet boy all around! He is such a joy and the best lil' angel baby! God has truly blessed us with our sweet boy, and we are forever grateful!
Love him to the Moon and Back, Forever & Ever!

Take Me Out...

TO THE BALLGAME!!!!

Ben, Allie, and I scored some amazing tickets to the Rangers game from a business associate of the company. We had such a great time, but were so sad by the Rangers loss :(. On the way home we were starved, since the hotdogs we bought there were a bust, and jumped on the chance for a little In 'n Out! Perfect ending to a perfect day! A huge thank you to "Double L" for the tickets, and my Mom for taking off work early and last minute to watch the babies! Fun Times!!!

Day 5 and Back to Texas We Go

Day 5

On our last full day we headed out to PawBen and Granny's new amazing log cabin... home away from home! A wonderful wrap around patio with a great view of the woods, and an amazing smell of cedar filled the air when you walked in the house. We fell in LOVE! We can't wait to see it surrounded with snow!

About to head to the cabin... but first some snuggles from Granny
 My Miss Prissy Pants

 Three Hicks Men
All these pictures make me SMILE!

PawBen loves B4 just a lil' bit ;)

 The Log Cabin

I want a porch like this SO BAD! Rocking chairs and all!

Aren't these two love birds just the sweetest!?!
 LOVE

Arrington would just watch them. When they would start laughing so would she.
 It was the sweetest!

 There's those giggles and smiles!

... and I'm pretty sure PawBen adores his baby girl
 Sweet Sweet Kisses

Day 6... Back to the Big D

Ugh, it was so hard to leave. Let's just say there were a few tears shed from of us and the Great Grandparents. We had such a great time, but driving down the driveway was a hard thing to do. We all love West Plains, the country livin' and most of all PawBen and Granny! We miss them immensely, and hope to return sometime this winter to catch some snow!

The plane ride home was quite enjoyable and basically a ghost plane. We had the whole back to ourselves, besides two nice men from Ennis who helped entertain our sweeties. Ben and Arrington had their own row, while Bennett and I had ours right behind them. This was much easier to entertain them, feed, and for a quick lil' nap for Bennett. The babies were angels on the flight and it's much easier to fly after they have had a morning nap!

Our trip was amazing! Lots of memories made with lots of hugs and kisses along the way!

Morning Snuggles are the BEST!
Sleeping on our 1.5 hour drive to the airport

 Recharged and ready to FLY!

A HUGE THANK YOU again to PawBen & Granny for a WONDERFUL stay!
