We had Christmas with my side of the family on Christmas Eve. Arrington loved playing with all the paper and loved all of her gifts. Thank you for making Arrington's 1st Christmas Eve so special!

Family Love... Hicks Pics

The day we had Arrington's 9 month photo session we also had a session with us 6 Hicks! We wanted to get Dickie and Joy something special for Christmas, and knew this would be the perfect gift! They had been saying for quite some time that they wanted a picture of all of us together. It was so much fun and we got some great pictures of all of us! Looks like pretty soon we will need to do another round of all 8 of us! Us Hicks sure are multiplying ;)! 

22 Week Checkup

We had our 22 week checkup on Wednesday, December 22 and Bennett looks perfect! We had another sono, due to the fact that my placenta is low, and I'm marginal placenta previa. Dr. R didn't seem too concerned and said that in 90% of cases the placenta will move up. I'm praying for this, because I really do not want a c-section. It will be a longer recovery, and to tell you the truth I am terrified of having my stomach cut open. I will have another sono in 8 weeks at my 30 week checkup. I'm always up for another sono! Who doesn't like seeing their growing baby as much as they can ;)

The sono tech did a detailed check of Bennett's heart, since it was hard to see last time and it looks perfect. His spine and brain looked wonderful as well and he even did a little wave to Mommy and Daddy! Bennett is now a WHOLE pound and had a healthy heart rate of 160 bpm. I can't believe that in 17 weeks he will be here! Eeeeekkkk, I better get started on baby boy's room. I have furniture to pick out and bedding to start. He will be here before we know it, and this family of three can't wait for our newest addition!

Santa's Baby

... and she cried like a baby!

 Poor 'lil missy was terrified when I tried to sit her on Santa's lap. We even showed her this picture the other day and she started crying :(. I know that in years to come, we will get a big giggle from this. I can't wait to get Santa pictures each year and compare from previous years. I can't believe next year I will have an almost two year old and an eight month old sitting on Santa's lap!

  Here's some pictures I took while we waited in the very short line. We went to Uptown in Cedar Hill, and it was so nice! The line was short and the setup was great! I also think this Santa was quite adorable. After pictures we walked around while enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate, coffee, and a delicious red velvet cupcake! Mmmmmm, I love the holidays! And, having our baby girl around makes them 100 times more fun!
