Birthdays!

What a busy Saturday! This past weekend we had Arrington's cousin Anderson's 2nd birthday and Cru's 2nd birthday at the Little Gym! The Little Gym is such a great idea and the kids loved it. Arrington is of course not at the age to really enjoy it, but she did love watching all the other kiddos. Happy 2nd Birthday Anderson and Cru! It seems like just yesterday you were chillin in your Mom's little bellies!  My Mom, Arrington, and I then headed out to downtown Fort Worth for a Bachelorette dinner at Cantino Laredo. Arrington's first Bachelorette party... hehe. Let's just say this little one was exhausted by the time we made it home!

3 Months!

What a big girl my little one is turning into! I can't believe how fast they grow and develop everyday! Since the 3 month mark I feel as if I have a different baby. We started her on Zantac, wow has that changed her demeanor. I guess our little angel was in some major pain! She was always so fussy, but since the medicine she is a happy happy girl! We now have down a great schedule and routine. Her napping is so much better, and she is now sleeping fully through the night.! Yippee for the Hicks House! She was always a good night sleeper, and now will sleep sleep sleep the night away. She will wake up sometime in the early morning, be up for a bit then go down till around 11:30 or noon. Here's a few new things that Arrington has been up to:

• sleeping through the night
• sleeping in her crib like a big girl 5/12/10
• rolls over from stomach to back 5/5/10
• size 1 diaper
• had her first swim and LOVED it
• size newborn and 0-3 month clothes
• just wore her first pair of shoes
• can sit upright while being propped up
• loves to watch tv
• blows bubbles
• holds head steady and loves to look around
• discovered her hands and loves to bring them together or stuff them in her mouth
• quite the drooler
• smiles constantly
• starting to giggle
• cooing and talking constantly
• those precious little rolls are coming along ;)
• can grab at things
• PHE level at 180!!!
• 10 lbs. 11 oz. on 5/7/10
• went to her first birthday party
• also attended her first bachelorette dinner...hehe
• and 100% of Perfection

There Can Now Be A Party In My Crib!

It is now safe to say that our little angel has now made her way into her own crib! She has been in there since Monday, May 10th.  Ben and I were both sad for her to leave our room, but we thought we better do it now before it's too late. Once we set our minds to put her in her own room, we had no problems. She did wake up the first two night at 11:00, but I just fed her and put her right back to sleep. She is now not waking till around 5:00 am (knock on wood). I now do not wake to her every movement and we don't have to tip toe around in our bedroom. Ben can also now set his alarm without bolting out of bed to turn it off before it woke her. It was actually quite entertaining to watch, but if that alarm ever did wake her, boy was I angry. It is so nice to have our bedroom back! Being able to go to the restroom without worrying that we might wake her, getting to watch tv in bed, and being able to get ready in our bathroom without fear of waking our sleeping beauty. We also have taken the pack 'n play down, which is nice. Sometimes at her 5:00 am feeding I just want to take her back in our room with us, but I resist. I know that we are all sleeping much better. Arrington likes to sleep in the right upper corner of her crib. I don't know how this little girl does it, but I place her in the middle of the crib and she somehow manages to scoot all the way up to that corner.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was amazing! How could it not be getting to stare into those big blue eyes of my angel? Hope this day was just as special for both our Mom's and our Grandmother's. I hope all you Mom's had a wondeful Mother's Day. 

We started the day off by going to a delicious brunch at Shady Valley with Lovie, BPaw, Grandpa Morse, Inez, Jay, Shannon, and Grant. 

 Joy, you are such an amazing mother-in-law. You are so caring, loving, and generous. You will do anything for your family and it shows in everything you do. You are such a strong woman with a big heart. From the first day I met you, you opened your heart to me and have always treated me as if I was your own. You raised Ben to be such an amazing man and I am so thankful for that. We LOVE you so much!  

Later that day my side of the family came over. We first opened gifts, then headed out for a relaxing dinner at El Arroyo. 

Thank you Mom for ALWAYS being there for me. You are such a great mother with such a loving and caring heart. I would not be the woman or mother I am today without your hard love, patience, and selflessness. You have always been such a devoted mother to Ryan and I and I am thankful for that everyday. We may not have always appreciated it at the time, but now that I am a mother I truly appreciate it. Thank you so much for all your hard work. You are an amazing Mom and I'm so glad you are mine! We LOVE you!
