Wonderful and Blessed First 6 Weeks of Life

Bennett has been the ideal 'Angel Baby Boy'!
He slept amazing from the first day we brought him home and knew when it was night time. The first week he slept 3-4 hours and would go right back down. After the first week he was sleeping anywhere from 3-6 hours at a stretch! Praise God! He has a little fussy time in the early evening, which is to be expected, but is easily calmed down. Bennett actually has started his own little schedule, which makes for one happy Momma! Knock on Wood!

Now lets get to this eating! I have named him our little Chunk-a-Monk and Rolly Polly! This little man LOVES to eat during the day. Sometimes eating as early as every 1.5 - 2 hours, but will also stretch it out to 3 hours. I have seen a big difference in my milk supply compared to with Arrington, since she was not a huge eater. Knock on Wood again! I'm loving not having to worry if I have enough milk or not, because this boy is getting enough! Bennett hit a major growth spurt from week 3-6, and at 6 weeks was a whole 10 pounds! How did my little man go from 6 lbs. 6 oz. to 10 Big whopping pounds in 6 weeks!?! Now, with that eating comes some acid reflux, poor baby, and some big spit ups. Yikes! Arrington had acid reflux as well, but hers was more silent where she did not spit up as much. We have him on medicine which seems to help, but you can still see him reflux in pain and then spit up. It breaks. my. heart. to see him in pain! At our 2 month appointment I'm going to talk to Dr. S to see if there is anything else we can do. Other than all that he is a Chunk!

Milestones & Precious Things Bennett Does:

Daddy and I received our first Heart Melting SMILES on the same day, May 22nd

We absolutely ADORE his precious Dimples that were passed down from his Great MaMaw Lois on Ben's side... you kinda see them in the picture above

Napped in his bed for the 1st time on May 22nd

Every morning he is one smiley happy baby boy and now smiles in response to our smiles!

While having tummy time Bennett was able to turn and lift his head the other way at 5 days! He has also always done wonderfully at lifting his head when holding him, even when we were in the hospital. I swear we have one strong, big boy on our hands! Love it! We always wished for a dainty little girl and a big, strong boy ;)!

Bennett can lift his head to a 45-degree angle at 5 weeks

Started making adorable and sweet cooing noises at 5 weeks

Loving bath time, but despises getting out and dressed

Likes his paci at times

Strictly breast fed, but has had a handful of bottles when Mommy has been gone

Eats around 5 oz.

Now in a size 1 diaper

Size newborn clothes to 0-3/ 3 month pajamas

Has some big feet! Almost the size of Arrington's itty bittys!

Is one amazing snuggle bug... Mommy's favorite!

One gruntin', tootin', burpin' machine!
Bennett you have brought so much joy into our lives! We now have our perfect little family and it's hard for me to believe we ever lived without you! Every smile and coo melts our hearts and brings us to our knees. You are one perfect little angel from Above and we thank God everyday for blessing us with such a healthy and beautiful baby boy! Daddy, Mommy, and Arrington love you to Heaven and back and more than you will ever know!

I found your blog on Meagan's blog :)

our boys sound very similar! Mine eats that often too, but I don't get the six hour stretches at night :(
Slayde will do four to four and a half at night but that's it! And we are dealing with the reflux as well! So sad to watch :( Congrats on your little one!
